Our staff are highly trained on all the products we supply and install, so our customers can have complete peace of mind that they are getting a high-quality product fitted in a professional manner. If something does go wrong however, you can be assured that all products supplied by Dolphin Lifts Western Ltd come with a full parts and labour warranty as standard.

After the warranty period has expired, Dolphin Lifts Western Ltd will contact you to let you know that the product is no longer under warranty and a service agreement will be offered in compliance with the manufacturer’s recommendations to ensure the future maintenance of your product.

Safety & security

All our staff have undertaken full training in all aspects of their role, including completing the HSE’s Health and Safety procedures.

Every duty we perform is carried out to the highest standards of safe working practices and as a company we pride ourselves on our ISO 9001 accreditation, which is reviewed annually.

All our electrical work is completed by fully qualified NICEIC accredited electricians and the products we provide comply fully with the relevant British and European Standards.

No hard sales!

With our status as an independent supplier, we are proud to have no obligation to other companies or manufacturers. This means we are able to offer unbiased advice and only ever install products based purely on our customers wants and needs. With our extensive knowledge of a wide range of products, we are sure we can provide you with a suitable solution to your mobility challenges.

We are official dealers for most major manufacturers, including Stannah, Liko and Terry Lifts. We do not work on commission-based sales, which means we never use hard sales tactics or pressure to push a sale.

As is inevitable in our business, we are often invited into your home or property to install our products. Therefore we are fully committed to the following set of standards, which you can expect from all our staff.

Servicing & support

We understand fantastic after care is essential for our customers.

That’s why we give all our customers the opportunity to join our service agreement plan once the warranty period on their lift has expired. This has been designed to keep your lift in the best possible condition, whilst giving you the reassurance that help is only a phone call away should a problem occur.

In the event of a call-out, we are committed to responding to our customers’ issues as quickly as possible. Our Freephone line is manned 24 hours a day (via an answerphone outside of normal working hours) and we will contact customers as soon as possible after a message has been left.

In the event of a breakdown

All our products are reliable but like any piece of equipment, problems can occur from time to time.

The majority of these can be easily detected by running through the following check-list. Doing this yourself can avoid unnecessary call-out charges.

  • Reset the lift. Sometimes all that’s needed to get your lift going is a reset. Switch OFF all the individual switches on the lift, wait 10 minutes, and turn them all back on again.
  • Power to the lift. Is it switched on? Has the power supply on the wall accidentally been turned off? Are all of the lift’s individual switches turned on?
  • Anything in the way? Are there any obstructions on the staircase preventing the lift from moving? These could be pressing against the lift’s edges, triggering the safety switch and cutting the power supply.
  • Power cut. Has there been a loss of power to the whole building or area?
  • Fuses. Check your fuse box to ensure the switches have not tripped out.
  • Batteries. Check that the batteries in the remote control (supplied with the lift) have not gone flat – please note these are not covered under any warranty.
  • Parking. It is essential the lift is left in its correct parking position after use as this is how the lift’s batteries are recharged. A bleeping noise coming from the lift indicates it is not parked properly and the batteries are not on charge.
  • Key switch. Some stairlifts include key switches on the arm that can be removed to stop the lift working. Ensure the key is in its slot and turned to the correct operating position.
